Transit Media achieves international standards with new bus wrap techniques

allaboutoutdoor.com Bureau, New Delhi, September 18, 2008

Take one look at these buses and you could mistake them to be on the streets of London. Laqshya Outdoor has executed full bus branding on the buses plying on the Bengaluru International Airport Route. Laqshya Media had recently bagged full bus-branding contract for the Bengaluru International Airport Ltd (BIAL) buses by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) for a period of six years.

Presently the buses sport Laqshya branding that gives the prospective clients a “look and feel” of the complete bus branding along with reiterating Laqhsya’s association with the concept. Soumitra Bhattacharyya, CEO, Laqshya Media, said, “This is a very innovative form of advertising and although this concept is not new, we plan to take creativity to international standards. Quite a few clients are pretty kicked about this, we have Tata Indicom, Britannia and a few others who are already on board."

"Bus wraps are a high impact and cost-effective form of OOH advertising, they reach both pedestrian and vehicular traffic assuring the best visibility and generate millions of impressions a day. We have acquired 62 buses which run on arterial roads leading to the Bengaluru airport.” He added. Total number of buses plying between the Airport and the city are 62 that include 40 Volvo and 22 Suvarna (old AC buses).

This is the Laqshya’s third major airport advertisement rights contract after bagging the independent advertising rights for the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Hyderabad and Colombo Airport through its subsidiary, Vertigo Lanka.
